These are being sold by the same seller. I am posting them up because I believe they were made in England probably by Clifford Essex. The company did sell foreign made instruments at this time but I think they were from a very much smaller number made by the company itself. My main reason for stating this is the American hardware- although one has new tuners. European made instruments would have German hardware. I missed at auction a Clifford Essex guitar- possibly made by their master craftsman Marco Roccio and its tuners were the Grover "Top" sort from the 1930s. I would imagine that these mandolins might be before his time at Clifford Essex. As British made mandolins are scarce these may be of interest:
