Default Mandolin Orchestra of Kansas City Concert, December 1st

Please join us for a free concert on Saturday, December 1st 2018 at 7pm.

We've been working hard on a diverse collection of music that we look forward to playing for an audience.

Our selections include Cathedral Hill and Waitin' on the Julia Bell by John Goodin, My Heart At Thy Sweet Voice by Saint-Saens, Fantasia Impromptu by Chopin, Recuerdos de la Alhambra, several renaissance pieces by Tielman Susato, requisite polkas, a few original works written for the orchestra and four Leo Kottke pieces arranged with his permission for MOOKC, The Brain of the Purple Mountain, The Tennessee Toad, Crow River Waltz and Vaseline Machine Gun.

The concert is at the Keystone Church in Waldo, 406 W 74th St, Kansas City, MO 64114.

We really need a few Mandola players and the Guitar part could use more coverage. It's not too late to get in on the fun and learning.

I live too far away too attend but I would be thrilled to hear such a program, especially Vaseline Machine Gun as played by a mandolin orchestra. I hope you are recording this concert. Maybe a treat for us here at the Café.

I also live too far away but will check your performance out on Facecrook ! I mean facebook ! Most of the small towns around where i live in central Illinois had mandolin orchestras back in the early 1900's. Round back mandolins of course and some violins.

Any chance you could post the videos here or on your website for those of us that don't subscribe to facelessbook?

I've finished editing and uploading all the videos. Please forgive us our misplayed notes. I had a great time preparing and playing all this music, but as is always the case, perfection was not achieved.
