    Default New Army/Navy custom build - Crystal Forest

    Sharing a few photos of my latest mandolin build.
    A Crystal Forest Army/Navy mandolin. Adirondack red spruce top, red-curly maple back sides and neck Ebony fingerboard and vine inlay. Body bound front and back in black. Overall length 24 1/2", Body width 9 1/2", Body Depth 1 1/2", radius top and back (96") standard mandolin 13 7/8" scale length, adjustable steel truss rod, Golden Age tuners with black knobs 15:1 gears, Tailpiece is a scallop style nickel plated. This mandolin has been fitted with a quality Cumberland Acoustics, adjustable ebony bridge. Custom built for musician in Austin, TX.

    Congratulations on another beautiful build. I hope this musician will enjoy his Crystal Forest as much as I still I enjoy mine (your number 14) all these years later.

    That's absolutely beautiful. If there's ever a sound file I'd love to hear it. I'm sure it sounds as good as it looks.
