I should be pickin' rather than postin'
very nice playing from both. Probably my all time favorite song
"When you learn an old time fiddle tune, you make a friend for life"
Right on. That mandolin sounds pretty good!
That was a great morning opener!
Its not a backwards guitar.
Thank you, it is my Collings MT2, custom with wide nut and pickup. It has exceeded all my expectations. I bought it to be the mandolin I take to bar gigs, and it is basically the only one I play anymore. I have a Weber bighorn and a collings MT2 oval that get ignored a lot...
Starting to think I need to add a pickup to the weber for a backup mando and maybe try and sell the oval; my MAS dreams are of an Apitius, Ellis or Kimble A style. I am cursed with sausage fingers and the wide neck is the only thing that seems to keep my left hand from hurting during long gigs. So I am almost certain to need to do a custom order... just in the dream stages now.
Doesn’t everyone have dreams of maple and spruce?

Real nice picking. I do it in Am/C. I think Colin would benefit doing it in a lower key, too. Sure Jerry strained his voice on damn near every song he played, but we don't listen to the Dead for his singing, and none of us are Jerry.
Dang dang, that was sweet!

Nice!!! I think you guys are good enough to be let back in the house now.
(except the acoustics sound pretty nice in the garage)
