It's hard for me to think that this I started this thread in the middle of October. Since then, I've played every single Tuesday (except Christmas and the week before that was my daughter's Winter Concert). The last few times I've been relying on the guitar less and less. I've been practicing the FFcP from jazzmando and really trying to get those chord changes. Since the bluegrass tunes are pretty much new to me, I've been practicing with songs I know (Grateful Dead, Counting Crows, The Beatles) and I feel like I've really turned a corner. I can't do the chord changes super fast or anything, but I don't have to look or stop. I'm able to play (and move) a bunch of four-finger chords (G,D,Am and those moved up the neck) and a whole bunch of three finger chords.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement! Much peace, health and happiness to all of you and those you hold dear in the new year.

And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.

Ha ha. I have only been going to BG jams for about a year (once a month). When I first started, I made the mistake of sitting across from a left handed guitar player. Threw me for a loop.
