Thread: strings to use on an old vega cylinder back mando?

Default strings to use on an old vega cylinder back mando?

Recently acquired a Vega cylinder back mando, and am wondering what string might be best on it. It seemed to have some very soft strings (silken?) that I changed when I got it home and put on a set of GHS ultra light (09-32), but am not that enamored with these. Any thoughts?

For any instrument without a proper bracing bar in the neck I use GHS Ultralights.
