    Default Minneapolis

I know the Podium is closed. Is there any other instrument dealer in the Twin Cities worth visiting?

Homestead Pickin' Parlor and Willie's American Guitars are the two that come to mind.

Just yesterday an article appeared in the Star Tribune about Quinn's, a newer guitar retailer. Also check out Twin Town Guitars.

And the Strib's photo shows mandolins hanging on a wall behind Mr. Quinn. Thanks for the great news!

Unfortunately not a lot of high volume Mando's...Homestead is a great place but not huge inventory for mandos ....for guitars I'd recommend Hoffman and Twin Town and a short drive to LaVonne's as they can have some cool stuff often as well. RF

Homestead Pickin' Parlor is the place to go. There are more mandolins there then meets the eyes. Ask Marv.
    I think, therefore, I pick.

Fretboard Central (the shop in the Strib article) carries Eastman. They also carrying more and more guitar lines. Good shop and nice folks. (Bias alert - I got my Eastman MDO-305 from them.)

Willie's American Guitars in St. Paul carries Collings, guitars and mandolins (1 in stock last I checked.) They also have used mandolins.

Definitely Homestead Pickin Parlor. Groth music can be worth a visit.
