This is my #3 and has a good sound and is plenty loud. Some great wood from stewmac and a really nice company to deal with. It has rosewood binding, fretboard, peghead overlays, and pickguard. the fretboard has curly maple binding.
Lots of work but, preserverence pays off.

VERY nice! #As I've mentioned a time or two on the Cafe', I can't cut a 2x4 straight, so those of you making your own mandolins from scratch or kits - I admire the heck out of your efforts! #

Love that cross in the 'peninsula' on the neck. #Do you play Gospel music?

Looks like an Andy DePaule TRC too!

Keep up the great work. #

Yes, I sing and play bluegrass gospel at church. I play the mando, when I can get someone to play guitar for me. I cannot play really good, but the lord loves it, and even people too.

Nice looking mando! I have given it some thought to attempt building one. As for the singing and playing goes, I've had a lot of requests about my playing, but I just keep on playing anyway!

I just got my first Stew-Mac kit , impressed with the raw goods . I've used them for years for parts. Nice to see the finished project looking great!
