Default Who made Siminoff’s tuner buttons?

I know I am late to the party but I was hoping to find a set of mother of pearl knobs for my Gotoh tuning machines.

I’m really glad he left his products on his site, but I can’t find any anoywhere else that are set up for 2 flat and 2 round sides like the new Gotohs.

    Are these available anywhere?

They are available on eBay. Let me find the link. Several of us own them. There is one guy selling that uses the square shaft of the old Gotoh's. They won't fit the newer two flat models.

    Thanks Mike!

I don’t know why I didn’t think to search eBay.

I didn’t realize they would be so pricey—I might just go with ivoroid plastic buttons for this round

They aren't cheap but they are really nice. There's a guy selling a set for $10.00 less but they have the square hole. I bought that set first but I had a set of the old A style tuners and I put them on those.

    Oh I bet they are

Have the throw away knobs from your old tuners? I just got a set of Grover’s but they have black knobs and i would rather have white ones if I can find a set to fit.

I think the Grovers are a different size. There's a guy selling Grover mandolin buttons on eBay as well but I have never seen a set.

I've been giving the old buttons to folks that need a button for a year or so.

I meant Gotoh, I’m no good at typing today.

You can always just file the two rounded sides flat in each post and use Gibson style square buttons from StewMac.

    Works great.

There have been a slew of folks that were looking for black Gotoh buttons. You could place an ad in the classifieds looking for someone to trade them with.

Yeah but I don’t like the stock Gotoh buttons either . I think I will end up ordering a set from StewMac and just seemed in the round ends. Those are pretty ok.

I was just hoping somebody knew somebody who was making Gotoh style buttons.

At one time Dennis Vance at The Mandolin Store had Ivoroid button sets that fit Gotoh and Saga tuners. You might contact him to see if they still have them. They are pretty nice, I have a set of them.
