Fats Waller wrote a lot of tunes and songs that get covered by swing bands. So did Duke Ellington and Hoagy Carmichael.

I had the good fortune to jam with Jason Anick and his Berklee Thai student Volt Jingjit at the Adhere 13th Blues bar (my regular spot in Bangkok). Jason is amazing on fiddle and mandolin. Volt is equally amazing in his own way too! Volt plays with his brother Whim at Adhere when he is in Bangkok.
