Any Ellis A5 Owners in the WI, MN, IL areas?

I haven't had any luck finding a used A5 that meets my wants (chrome hardware, flame inlay, 2015+), so I'm on the fence about custom ordering a new one unless I can get a few hours of seat time with one to make sure my hands are happy with Tom's recent neck profiles.

Is anybody in the midwest in possession of an A5 that I could spend some time with?

Just talk to Tom. He'll set it up to your satisfaction as long as it doesn't affect the overall quality of the instrument. The custom neck shaping he did for another Cafe member's A5 was fantastic.

Mark--I have no doubt he will. I just want to make 100% sure I want to jump into a brand new one. In my experience buying used I can break even, and new there is still a depreciation risk so more care warranted

I certainly won't argue with that, and, the new prices have gone up recently.
