Default Sam Bush Band with Peter Rowan

SF Jazz had 3 nights in a row of killer Americana music. Grisman's new Trio of Friday, Del McCoury Band on Saturday and last night the Sam Bush Band with Peter Rowan sitting in. Now all I can say is Sam's band is badass, they slayed the audience...... took no prisoners. Peter Rowan sang a few with them "Walls of Time" , "Midnight Moonlight", "No Woman - No Cry" and a few others. His voice was great - gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes. Two hours of non-stop energy, Sam mostly played Hoss, broke out the fiddle for a few tunes and even got out a Fender electric mandolin towards the end. Scott Vestal played the crap out of his stealth banjo to great effect, all of them are great musicians, what a tight band! Those boys really bring it. If you like your mandolin sizzlin' hot with hyper speed tremelo sliding octaves, pull offs and hammer-ons nobody like Sam Bush - The King of Telluride! Don't miss them them when they come your way. Totally badass!!!
