    Oh my. They hand painted the logo and the inlay and not well. For posterity. I adjusted the contrast a bit to make the headstock more legible.

    Alan, That fret is so far in front of the nut that it should be called a "1/4 fret"...

    That was my first mandolin...not that exact one, but an identical one without the "Gibson-izing" treatment. It's made in Romania. As I recall I paid $39 for it. Still have it after all these years.

    Yep has the classic Hora pickguard. Maybe Hora is the Gibson of Romania.

    I do love the split diamond inlay which I don’t think Gibson ever used on mandolins.
