    Question Help identifying this mandolin

I picked up this mandolin on ebay. I can't find any information on it's brand or age. I was hoping someone might recognize it.

It's all solid wood, in decent shape and after removing several layers of poorly applied shellac, a few repairs and new strings, it looks and sounds good.

I can post more picts if necessary.

Thanks in advance for any help.
    Best,
    Joe

    Thanks again for the help.

I think mine is the original tailpiece, but it looks like the front "cloud" part has been broken or cut off. I'll keep an eye out for one.

The cover slides on. They are frequently lost. There was a Cafe member that was making reproductions of these tailpiece covers a while back.

    And he still is apparently:

Thanks Mike. Yes, mine has the part that sides on, but has a very rough edge where the front part was broken off. Also, thanks for the link.
