    Default Dropkicked Kentucky KM-625 Mandolin

Hello - im looking for info/opinions on this one. Ive had this mandolin for quite some time. At a practice I (stupidly) laid it on a chair when I switched to guitar, and a mate got wound up on a tune, and did a wild, hootin back kick. Unfortunately the chair was right behind him, and the Kentucky took a spill. She landed on her butt.
-Couple of spots where its blemish only to the finish.
-the tailpiece seems to have gotten a little crooked.
-slight seperation of the top just to the left of tailpiece, i cant tell if its completely seperated or not. It hasnt moved in two years.
-Still plays just fine, although it has to be tinkered for intonation. its been about 2 years since the spill.
-gouges in the wood (tailpiece) are from previous owner who installed a dumb tailpiece.

-Is this worth trying to sell? I really dont want to get into a situation where someone wants to return it and that whole process, but I also do not need it any longer.
-Is it worth repairing? Seems like it would get expensive quickly.

If your upfront about the needed repairs and have a good price, If it was mine I'd dump it.

Sell it as a project, no returns. Say upfront what happened to it and don't expect to get a whole lot for it. Lots of pictures, no secrets. If someone still wants to buy it they own it. There are people that want to learn about lutherie and this is the perfect platform for that.

I wouldn't pay for a professional repair. That is going to be expensive and won't raise the value much over what it is now. I regularly sell things like this. It really isn't worth my time to repair and maybe get $100 more for the instrument. As Mike mentions there is actually a good demand for damaged instruments for hobby/student luthiers. They are the only ones this type of thing is valuable too.
