New York City questions

I will be in NYC May 22-29. Any suggestions for acoustic instrument stores to seek out? Also, any ideas on finding some music? Does Andy Statman have a regular gig anywhere?

Or anything else to do or see that isn't the usual tourist activity...

We'll be staying on Brooklyn, BTW.

I am a huge fan of Mona's on a Monday night. It is a jam, but it is very high level. The bar tender pours a masterful Guinness. It is a bit of a rowdy scene. But grab a seat at the bar and you will enjoy a great night of pickin.

I posted a video earlier today from when I saw Andy on 5/10. I have more videos and bought 2 CDs. Also listen to Andy on Pandora on my daily power walks. Can't get enough of him!
