BEAUTIFUL ! You will love it ! The only thing better than the looks of a Girouard is the sound it produces ! Second to none !

I love that top ! Hope you will provide some sound clips after you receive it ! Max is building me a F4 Concert but won't be finished until late 2019. He previously built me an A oval which I LOVE with an Engelmann top. I was going to have a red spruce top but not sure now after seeing your Port Orford top ! What would be the sound differences between a red spruce and Port Orford cedar top? Not for Bluegrass but old time and Celtic. I'm sure Max will provide answers later on in the build !

That is a very beautiful mandolin ~ if it sounds anywhere near how it looks, you've got yourself a keeper!

    Play it in good health

I'll definitely get some video up of the Girouard once it gets her and acclimates - due to arrive tomorrow, fingers crossed! I'll be sitting in the lobby of my apartment building with a good book from morning on waiting for it (the doorbells for the apartments in my building are notoriously unreliable, so I'm not taking any chances!).

So in theory, you could read "Waiting For Gotot" while waiting for Girouard?

Well, that is a new first for me. A topless mandolin.

    (Because it has two backs).

Really, it IS a new first. Quite a stunning piece of mandolinery. Congratulations to both you and Girouard for a beautiful collaboration.
