    Default White Mandolins!

As the lucky recipient of the new #11 White Mandolin, I wanted to show off Tyler's latest work with the mandolin community. I've been quite taken with a ‘29 Gibson Fern that The Music Emporium has for sale, and asked Tyler if he would try and capture the incredible vintage aura and glow that it has. So, I put together this collage below - on the left is his #11 and on the right the photo we used of the Fern from TME as a guide. We made some adjustments with inlay and pickguard size due to "our" preference. I must say I'm about to wet my britches - the brown truck is to arrive tomorrow afternoon. Thanks Tyler White! You are great to work with and have a fabulous career ahead! Gill in NC.

I saw pictures of #11 on the social medias. Wow, just wow. An absolutely stunning mandolin to look at and based on the video I saw of Tyler playing it, it’s got the tone to match! Congrats on joining the club! Hope you enjoy #11 as much as I’ve enjoyed #6!

    OH MY!!
I am in line for #14, and the anticipation is making me SO look forward to seeing it come together.
Super happy for Tyler and his work. He will definitely have a long career building beautiful instruments.
FWIW. I. Was able to see this in person during a visit to his shop. It is an amazing mandolin. I am confident, geechee, that you will be in awe when it arrives, and you put a pick across the string.
    Enjoy!!

Wow, that's a stunner! I've seen the '29 Fern at TME and #11 is an awesome interpretation from what the pictures show. Congratulations, enjoy that beautiful instrument!

There are some subtle yet obvious differences between the ‘29 and Tyler’s, most of which are very obviously intentional. That said, after hearing the sound clip, who gives a ——! That’s one awesome sounding mandolin, even without converting to good speakers...

Hey All! Great to see another thread started!! Soon to be the proud Mando-Papa of White #12. Many of you no doubt have seen my comments and those of others regarding what a pleasure it’s been every step of the way to work with Tyler. Just a few more weeks till I head down to Bloomington, Indiana to pick up my 12. In contrast to the darkness of #11, Tyler and I wanted to do something quite a bit brighter. Pics attached show various stages of finish work in different lighting. Just amazing. Far surpassed all expectations - even after all the years playing all the best Mandos out there, Tyler’s skill makes him a strong contender. Get in touch with Tyler and make a plan for your dream instrument!

I really thought this was going to be about mandolins that were white in color, like the new creme color collings

I just started a Tyler White Mandolin group. I'd like to see pics and hear about other experiences with Tyler White mandolins. I know there are less than 15 of us right now, but I'm sure the number will grow quickly.

Folks I'm in line for #15 and absolutely can't wait. I've been saving for a really nice mandolin for a while and in addition to stashing a bucks away here and there, I've sold off a mandolin, 2 guitars, and several high end ukuleles in order to cobble together the funds for this without upsetting my better half.

As previously stated, Tyler is a really nice guy and great to work with. He patiently walked me through options with his opinion of how the various choices would impact the final mandolin. I'm hoping to pick it up around June 1. I will post pics when it is finished.

    Hey All -
Spoke to Tyler White recently since I hadn’t heard much from him in awhile. He’s been consumed with the Mandola build, which has taken him a tremendous amount of time (and kept him away from his beautiful Instagram posts....for those of you who want to see more of his work, take a look and follow him on Instagram.) Can’t wait to see and hear more of this one - knowing Tyler, it’s sure to be an exceptional instrument. Congrats the lucky owner!!
