Default Help save a rare WCYB Stanley Brothers radio acetate!

    Hi folks,

You may have seen various posts on Facebook and the like... but if not please vote to help save this rare early WCYB radio transcription acetate by the Stanley Brothers:-

    http://www.vamuseums.org/?page=top10

The record is one of the "Top 10 Most Endangered" items which the Virginia Association of Museums have asked people to vote on. The two with the most votes by midnight on Jan 24th will be given an award of $4-5,000 towards it's preservation.

If successful the disc, which belongs to the Birthplace of Country Music museum will be restored using the IRENE process.

You can vote every 24 hours... and we really need all the help we can get if we're going to secure one of the available grants.

From a look a the label, I'm guessing that it includes We'll Be Sweethearts In Heaven, Little Maggie, The Nine Pound Hammer and Are You Waiting Just For Me... and from it's age, it must presumably include Pee Wee Lambert on mandolin.

    Thanks!
    Ivor
