    Default Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all my mandolin friends.

Especially to those brand new to the mandolin. Those whose first mandolin showed up under the tree less than a week ago. Welcome one and all to the greatest obsession. The king of instruments. Thank goodness it is legal.

My hope for all of us in 2018 is that we find the delight, consolation, hope, fun, and transcendence that playing music can bring, both to ourselves and to those that listen. It’s one of the few activities that is both selfish and generous simultaneously.

    With all sincerity.

It's legal? Shoot, just took half the fun out of it. All that soundproofing I took the trouble to do. Guess I'll have to get a banjo.

Fortunately that is still a misdemeanor. A banjo is another matter entirely.

Happy New Year to you and your family as Well!

And a very happy New Year to all my Mandolin friends here at the cafe!

Thanks for the giggles, the smiles... 🤓 (jokes about MAS-always funny... jokes about hiding MAS from spouses-hilarious.)

Thanks for all the helpful tips and information! Especially to all who help identify vintage instruments for others. I love those threads!

But my biggest "thanks" is for all the encouragement I've received here. You all cause me to want to play music more skillfully and creatively. Thank you.

Here's to many more!.... and hopefully more mandolins 😉

Happy New Year ya bunch of obsessed mandolin junkies! I know I will. Could there ever be a better instrument than a fine tuned F-5 or whatever mando type instrument that floats your boat-I think not, so HAPPY playing wherever ye may roam, may the new year bring you much playing and MAS hoarding + knowledge that may be!

Happy New Year to all, and hoping your fingers are as sore as mine from playing most of the night last night. We have a house party with square dancing, bunch of musicians, started around 7 and played the last tune around 3. Great fun was had by all and hopefully you all had just as much fun on your New Years Eve.
THE WORLD IS A BETTER PLACE JUST FOR YOUR SMILE!
