    Default Date my Flatiron purchase

Hi. I just bought at "The Flatiron" mandolin. Tag reads " The Gibson Master Model Performer-A
    number 00525030
    Gibson, Inc.
    NashvilleTN, U.S.A.
I have searched a lot, haven't found this serial #.
    Does anyone know exact year?
    I'm assuming May 25, 3rd one of the day..Maybe 2000?
    Thank you!

    hmmm...

I had 85100106 Flatiron F-5 Artist, which was

built in October, 1985, the 106th one made. Looks like your mandolin's serial number is in a different format than that one.

I think you have it right, OP. Year is first and last digits.

Congrats! I had a 1999 Performer A made in Nashville that I still wish I had back....they consistently tend to be good from that era...
