    It looks like the shim is there because the top looks like it has sinkage to me?

    I suspected that might be the case which is why I raised it. A lolipop stick might make it playable in the short term but re-gluing the top brace and a new bridge would be a far better solution.

    Hard to get an accurate idea of the amount of 'sinkage' without a good side view. If the shadows and reflections are believable, I think it's beyond sinkage and progressed to 'sunkage'!

    Definitely sunk.. shim is there because bridge isn't adjustable
