Default Eastman MDO605 out of stock

Anyone have any idea when we might see more of the new Eastman octave 605? Seems it was barely in stock at all and now it’s out everywhere in the country.

I played one yesterday down at Sylvan Music in Santa Cruz, CA. I've never been a fan of the MDO-305, but this one was a HUGE step up from that in tone. I don't know whether that is because Eastman uses better woods for this model, or graduates the top and back differently, or braces them differently, but the tone was significantly richer and fuller than what I remember from playing the 305's a while ago.

There are four brand new ones in the classifieds at the moment from Mass Street Music, The Mandolin Store, Elderly Instruments and Morgan Music. I'm headed down to Mass Street Music which is less than a mile away and am going to give that one a test ride just for fun. Have yet to see one in person.

Very cool - I owned a 305 and didn't care for the sound, and assumed the 605 would be +/- identical.
