    Default New looking for help

    Im new to the mandolin and have been having a hard time finding videos to learn off of. I am looking for a place where i can learn current songs online for free. Was hoping somewhere here knew where i should go or was actually someone that posts free lesson. Someone plez help me out

    Youtube has some great and some not so great mandolin lesson videos but I've never seen one that was using current songs. Most are using traditional songs.

    who are some users that i should direct my attention to. Im i know some basics but i want to learn songs. Any suggestions

    Chord websites like UltimateGuitar should help you learn more current music! Also if you look, I believe there's a guy on YouTube who makes tutorials for Top-40s songs on mandolin

    While this goes counter your question, I would suggest --

    1. Make sure you get a good set-up for your mandolin so that it is comfortable and easy to play.
    2. Start by investing in some real lessons from a teacher.

    These two things will give you the best chance for a good start, the momentum to stick with learning, and the opportunity to avoid getting hooked on bad habits.
