Default Help with a bridge question for my 1930's A 50

I have an oval hole A50 from the 1930's and I am setting it up. The bridge was off it when I got and I wondered if anyone knows where the Pat 18 - 21 stamp would go on the bridge relative to the body? In other words, does the stamp face the lower bout on the treble side, or does it face the neck on the bass side? I looked through the Archive to no avail.

The bridge fits OK either direction. When I find out what is right, I may spend a minute and try to get a better fit. I am sure it could only help the tone...

    Thanks in advance!
