Acoustic Music in Nashville

The Station Inn is an American treasure. It is a must-visit when in Nashville.

Check and see if the Time Jumpers are playing at 3rd and Linsley if you're going to be there on a Monday night. Not much acoustic, but they are sooo good.

No music at Music Row. That's recording studios and producers offices and such, many of which are closed now.
RCA Studio B does offer tours. This one was a big deal. Elvis, Roy Orbison, Dolly, many more.

Probably what was meant was Lower Broadway from 5th st to the river. Lots of honky tonks, lots of live music, some acoustic, some very good. Which honky tonk? It changes hourly. Sometimes called "Honky Tonk Highway".

Station Inn is always a good bet. Don't miss it.

If you are out by the Opry, near the North driveway to the Gaylord Hotel complex, across the main road is a hotel. I cant think of the name but right at the stoplight where you turn into Opryland. Ive run into some amazing stuff in their grill. Decent food too.

Time Jumpers are amazing. But after an hour of Texas Swing I grew restless. I need a little variety.

We found a show we'd like to see at the Station Inn, but I noticed that they don't sell advance tickets. How early do we need to get there to be sure to get in? The doors open two hours before the show, but do lots of people line up even before that?

The Doors open two hours before the start time. When big name acts are there, by that time there is a line that will fill the location. Best time to go is during the week. Also, and this is my opinion, the food and service is not the best. I would come satiated. Great location with great sound and atmosphere. See some of the best shows of my life there. If you get in to a "name" act, you will see and hear them at a fabulous venue. Now that I am older, standing in line for more than 2 hours is not going to happen any more.
