This is from a Vintage Guitar mag article about David Bromberg. Mostly about his guitars but has this picture with a caption about it being a 70's Gibson that was refurbished by Randy Wood.
You could have said this is Bromberg's Loar and I wouldn't have blinked. It doesn't seem to have any of the characteristics of a 70's mandolin. Maybe the small peghead scroll. But not the excessive pointy upper point. and it has a crosspiece. Seems part of it is missing on the treble side but I guess thats a Photoshop thing.
Must have been one nice refurb.
