    Default Tenor Music

Can any of you guys or girls post some music of your tenor guitar playing? Whatever you are into, any style, any tuning.....novice, pro, inbetween....whatever. I'm really loving this instrument, and would love to hear what everyone is doing. Not youtube people.....but You people.
    Please

I play all sorts of stuff, as frequenters of this forum will probably know - but I've chosen this one because (a) it's out of my normal style and (b) I was very pleased to have been able to memorise it and play it. Not saying it's great - just pleased with how it came out. I was also happy with the bass line I worked out for it!

Here's one I made a while back. Both instruments are my own builds, and the tenor guitar in now with a new owner in Northern Ireland. A James Scott Skinner Strathspey.

Great stuff, John. I love strathspeys, and I also the music of Scott Skinner - particularly when played as sweetly as this.

    Nice contributions!
I'm a little late, becuse my browser didn't work, but I dowloaded another one and now I can hear your songs.
I like them all, especially the one Michael played on his Reso Tenor.
As for me, these days I try to master chord-melody-playing in CGDA, but once in a while, I play some single note stuff like "Limehouse Blues". It's one of the rare occasions, where you can hear me try to play someting close to an improvised solo...

From the newbie end of the spectrum ... I was just learning chop chords, so please ignore the rhythmic trainwrecks. Actually, I can't believe how far I've progressed since I made this in February.

I tune my old Harmony to mandolin tuning and really like it for texture. It's got a warm, handsome sound and is a real pleasure to play. It comes in on the second A & the end B sections in this video.

These three tracks make up an original tenor guitar suite from an old recording of mine. It's mostly solo tenor guitar with just a little tiple mixed in here and there.

Beautiful music gweetarpicker, I loved it, and fantastic playing Baron Collins-hill. If that doesn't make you dance, nothing will. Great tenor work, and awesome fiddle! Hey, I have a question, for those of you who play Irish music, do most of you have Irish blood? ancestry? I'm very curious of this.

On Tenor Guitar I play the most classical music.

Or I'm experimenting with the technique. (For example two capo)
