Default Anybody have a mando arrangement of Sweet Melissa?

I know the chords are pretty simple. Just wondering if someone has worked it out with the same open sound. Thanks.

My partner plays it on his 12-string and I add some fills, but I can't say I have an arrangement. We play in the key of Emaj.

Just looked at your site - very nice! I was able to access a few PDFs - but each of the two links for Melissa return a "404 Page Not Found" error.
All my life I wanted to be somebody, now I realize I should have been more specific.

Same here, could not access. Would like to see the Melissa pdf for octave mandolin!

Well, of all the stupid things. And since I did not have this thread to alert me to replies, it is only now that I am realizing this egregious error.

Please try again! I assure you that these PDFs are now available. Ironically, those are the only two that were missing.

    D'oh!

Ah, the curse of "Melissa," mentioning a crossroads and all, thus inviting trouble. Thanks for posting those and fixing them. I do want to say there's something amiss with the registration, at least how it's displaying for me. Some of the chords are askew, not in a straight line, for the octave as well, though not as much.

    Also, on "A Pirate Looks At Forty," I've always played the refrain Am7 | Bm7 Am7 | G

Thanks for the effort you've put into posting all these, and for your choices and taste in music.

Given my history of killing threads, I will apologize in advance. This is yet another installment in “Mandolin BY A Dummy” (not For dummies).

Attached find my cheat sheet for playing mandolin lines behind acoustic guitars; I did not attempt indicating rhythm or articulation (over than some pull offs and HOs). I also do not replicate the recording exactly; this is my interpretation.

The OP referred to the ‘open sound’ and I stress all the open E strings I can where appropriate, and I have included my ‘go to’ chord grips for behind flat tops.

Now we get to the part where I ask for comments and suggestions and am met by crickets; good night sweet thread, I hardly knew ye!

    It's a feature, not a bug.
I was experimenting with the idea of making the frets in line across the page, and moving the chords up and down as they go. For example, on the third line, you see that all the #5 frets are in line.

Perhaps that did not work as well as I intended, and it ends up being just distracting...?

Very cool! Not familiar with the band though. Sorry, had to backtrack! I’m impressed with a lot of what “Iron Horse” does!

You are not familiar with the Allman Brothers? Man, do you have a treat in store. Gregg Allman wrote this tune.

I am not familiar with Iron Horse.
