Default Grass Valley (CA) Father's Day Bluegrass Festival

The Grass Valley Father's Day Bluegrass Festival is coming up on June 15-18.

We're heading up there next weekend for a nice extended camping and jamming vacation.

Is anyone else from the Cafe' going?

I'll be there from next weekend on. Once the fester starts I'll be displaying my mandolins at the Music Caravan booth directly across from the main stage. Come on by for a shake and howdy!

I would really like to go one of these years. I spent quite a bit of time mountain biking around Nevada City and Grass Valley. It would be nice to attend and visit some old friends. My daughters 8th grade graduation is on the 14th so not an option this year.

I'll be there in the Luthiers' Pavillion. Come on by and pick a little (or a lot)!

From what I'm seeing of weather reports so far, the predictions for Grass Valley are for high temps in the mid-70s to low 80s (F), low temps in the 50s (F).

After Grass Valley we'll be going on to the Reno area to camp for one night, and then to Mammoth to camp for a few days, where we're expecting the high temps to be in the 50s and 60s (F) and the low temps in the low 30s (F). Burrr.

I'll be there, probably spending most of my time either watching the stage shows, hanging out at Camp Spam, the Music Caravan booth, and probably a bit of time in the Luthiers Pavillion. I won't be exhibiting there, but I do plan on bringing one of our RedLine A-5 mandolins with me. Gotta have something to play, you know!

Ahh, all the usual suspects! I'm on my way there right now!

I'll be doing repair and setups in the Luthiers Pavilion. I've got a bunch of instruments with me too, so come on by and say hello!

Wahoo! I had Austin do a complete evo fret job, speed neck, new nut and setup on my F-9.

Wow, it has never played or sounded better, at least as long as I've owned it. I'm a very happy camper.

Only problem is now I have no excuse for playing so bad. Oh well.
