hmmm....i was trying out the chord/no. system you guys use on here, but it didn't line up correctly. you may as well disregard all chords, because they are not lining up on top of no. chords.

good luck trying to cipher my work

We play tenor guitars. We love a challenge, your chord are all there, and in the right order ... we can deal with it. And, thanks for the delightful piece of music.

I really wish you'd stop playing that Guild. You're not helping my TGAS at all!

    Nice, and nicely played.

Nice stuff, Dave - and very useful chords, all nicely played. Might have to get the solid "mandotenor" (5-string) out and have a crack at this one...

Thanks you guys, I may try to put another old Jazz standard down this afternoon using this chord no. method. I would love to hear your 5 string mandotenor Will! What type of pickups does it have in it?

Looks like you can do this sort of thing with tables in 'Advanced' posts. You would need to do one table per line as there are different numbers of chords per line. I stopped because I seemed to have more fingerings the chords.

It is rather tedious to do, and it might be better just to do a chart of chord fingerings and then write out the sequences, you could do this by hand with pen and paper and take a photo and post that, or use a word processor and save it as pdf.

Anyway thanks for your efforts with these, much appreciated.

By the way I am with bbce, you are doing nothing for my Tenor Acquisition Syndrome, nearly bought a solid electric yesterday.

Thanks derbex, it is tedious to say the least. If everything lined up the way a person typed, it would be a snap.

The numbered chart on Tangerine is all the chords and single string for the whole song. The timings are missing of course, but the notes are there.

Thanks for the help, I'll try to figure that out when I get a chance.

It's a bar pickup, Dave - here it is in action:

Thanks Dave - it was made for me for free (almost) by my luthier buddy Ian Chisholm out of wood offcuts!
