Default Wild Bill Jones recorded in my home-studio with Eastman 615------

I recorded and mixed this at Studio B, my home studio. It's a cover of Wild Bill Jones as performed by Ralph Stanley II. I used a Beyerdynamic M160 ribbon and a Rode NT5 small diaphragm condenser to record my Eastman 615 mandolin. Enjoy-

Thanks Joey, I played fiddle and mandolin and my band High Lonesome Sound did the rest.

Good job. You were really getting some good tunes outta that 615. Was the Eastman amplified? I have a 615 from 2011, no amplification. It has a good mature tone. Been played hard over the years. Lp

Eastman mandolins really start to sound good after they've been played for a few years, my 615 is from 2012 and has had many upgrades such as a CA brigde, EVO frets and pickguard attached. I had a professional luthier that builds mandolins for Stelling to fo the work and he really set it up well. I bet in 5 years this mandolin will be on par with some of the top manufacturers
