Seems like someone stepped the cap and couldn't screw it to the bottle. Maybe the ghost saw anything, ask him/her.

You know, if you drank the Coke Zero and left it, say, capless on the floor, there's always the chance that someone came down to the shop just on the off-chance, saw it there, picked it up and put it on your worktable, looked around for the cap and then put it there to keep (1) the coke from being kicked over and (2) the cap from being stepped on by someone barefoot or just walking around.
In other words, it might have been your wife/daughter/girlfriend or some other female type just picking up after you. Not romantic, I know, but at least possible.

I had something similar happen a few years ago. It was December 24th, and my wife and I had gone to bed early. The next morning, we woke up to find a bunch of strangely-wrapped boxes on the floor of my living room. My doors and windows were locked, and we had not let anyone in the house. It spooked me, and I could not figure out who would have been in there and left them on my floor. What's worse is that we had left some milk and cookies out, and the ghost (or whatever it was) ate them all!
Keep that skillet good and greasy all the time!
Tobin's story is the best hint so far about who drank up that Coke...
