Is there any hope? Republic tenor resonator guitar neck failure.
I have this resonator tenor guitar that had a scalloped neck. It died of living in a tent without a hard-shell case.
My old timey sets are missing it something fierce.
It seems like so much of the guitar is still here, and new ones aren't too easy to come by. This ones had new tuners put in, and a pick up installed and sounded good.
New tenor reso's are around $800 to $1,000 so I'd be willing to put some money into it.
Republic won't sell just a neck, and my local music guy doesn't want to touch it, and I am at a loss right now.

Where are you? I would think a new neck would be pretty easy to do on this, but I don't know offhand how it is joined to the body.

Madison, Wisconsin. I can take a picture of where the neck joins the body when I get home.

All and all it looks like a fairly clean break. Constructing good clamping cauls would be the hardest part of the job but I have repaired far worse.
