    Default Long Hollow Leather

Can anyone tell me if Long Hollow is still active? I've sent emails, called both phone numbers on their web site but haven't gotten any response. They make a great mando strap. Sad if they've called it quits.

They are still in business, I was just there last week. Don't know why he's not answering calls unless he's out for a few days.

I just bought a new one a few weeks ago from my local store (Dusty Strings) who had a large stock. Very nice leather!

Their Big Softy only works for A models. For F5s, the big wide soft part ends up in the middle of your back instead of on your shoulder. I had to take mine to a local leather shop to have it modified so the wide part sits on my shoulder. I emailed them about it before I modified it, but received no response so I got it fixed locally.

I used to do business with them. Really nice people - sure he's just out right now. Great stuff too. I use them on my Bighorn, as well as my banjos, and a few guitars.

The softie is my favorite strap. Just bought another last month (from amazon). Hope all is well with them.

You are thinking of Lakota Leathers straps. As far as I know they are not made on the Lakota reservation.

Lakota and the Softies are both excellent but different manufacturers.

Got through to Long Hollow today and had a great conversation with a very lovely and lively Lyndell, 92 YO(!!) order taker. I believe she is Phil's mother.
Anyway, I was able to get my order in and am looking forward to receiving their product.
