Alvarez F3

Hello All,

I am in Paris and met a seller of an Alvarez F mandolin. I believe it was built in 2010. He is asking 1200 euros for it. Made in China, I believe, but no papers on it (or in it)... He got it as a gift and is looking to sell. I found essentially the same mandolin on eBay for $399...

Anyone know about these? I played it and it was not bad. I think he believes it worth quite a bit more... but then he didn't pay for it which could explain the price spread.

For either price I think you can find better options. e1,200 is absurd. Do some searches and you will find many recommendations for starter mandolins.

Thanks, Nevin... This would be a second mandolin –#I already have a Weber Yellowstone. I just had no info on this one. Appreciate your comment. –#Matthew
