You may be able to get the old "Jazzmando" sets from Martin still, though it's been a while since I've peruse emando.com, I'll admit...need to check it out again! I usually get Ernie Ball slinky 9s and 10s and mix them to get as close to the Jazzmando set's gauges as I can. It's not perfect, but works pretty well, and the slinkys are cheap and available locally. I play a Mandobird IV. Of course, I'm always open to better options...

I use flat wound chromes on my fender Mandostrat and Blue Star 5 string from Martin at emando.com. He ships quick at a decent price and we're supporting our own.

Any, wound with a magnetic sensed metal , that leaves out Bronze..
though the steel core wire signal level, may be enough for your ears..

Breaking out the ball from Guitar strings , is a way to have loop end strings..

Nickel, stainless, Flat ribbon wound, etc..

    D Addario FW 74 is on my Fender FM61..their flat ribbon wound [G & D] mandolin string..set.

I've been using a set of these Fender strings for my 8 string mando-tele and they work really well and come with ball ends. The OP doesn't say whether he needs ball end or loop end for his emando. Agree that Martin can get you any strings you want and is a pleasure to deal with.

If you can use ball end or don't mind taking the time to take them off GHS makes a great string White Bronze that has iron in the makeup and will work with a pickup. I order them in singles for my acoustic mandolin because I like the sound, very nice string.
