    Default Voight mandolin lesson series

Hey everyone. I have started a mandolin lesson series on YouTube and decided to post the videos here as well. My idea was to put out some things that have significantly influenced my playing shown from my perspective as opposed to a video recorded in front of the mando and myself. I figured the cafe would be a good place to get feedback as well as suggestions for later videos. Let me know if there are any topics you'd like to see covered. Happy picking!

Nice concept Dan. I have heard angling/tilting the pick forward described a few different ways. Filming from the pickers perspective really showed how this affects the mechanics of picking both the upstroke and the downstroke. Having enjoyed the tone you achieve on the demo tunes on your builders website, I am looking forward to hearing more of your take on technique. Also looking forward to seeing that beautiful two-pointer after finishing.
