cracks on top of KM-100 mandolin
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Kent...4AAOSwEzxYZbJy
The eBay listing above shows a KM-100 mandolin that is like a twin of my KM-100S I bought two years ago. Amazingly, the cracks on the top sound board are also exactly at the same places !!!
I have repaired mine, including re-enforcing the neck-body joint with a bolt from inside. It plays sweat for the last two years since repaired it.
I am not going to bid on this one, I love to buy one without the cracks for cosmetic reason. It's a good sounding mandolin, very light, traveled with me on all my trips.

Re: cracks on top of KM-100 mandolin
I have a similar mandolin, but mine is a KM-110S. The only differences I can see from the pictures are that mine has a black headstock and no cracks on the top.
They are nice mandolins: appear to be solid woods, light, good tone, etc. I've had mine for five years or so; the original owner bought it some time in the 1980s he said.
