Default Would this be better than a Blue Chip?

I saw in the Namm Oddities thread that there is now a Bluetooth enabled guitar pick! Surely we should all run right out and buy one!
I'm wondering if they'll offer them in different sizes, shapes, bevels, materials, colors, etc? If they want to satisfy the mandolin crowd, they'd better!

While some may really like it, I think I can live without this.

That is actually an amazing idea! I'm not sure that a pick like this would be ideal for producing tone or for performances, but it certainly sounds like a good tool for practicing. Of course, if it is tailored towards guitar playing, it's probably not going to be calibrated to the correct metrics for mandolin playing. But if nothing else, it would be a good way to monitor one's pick grip pressure for consistency. And the ability to count pick strokes is pretty cool. I've often wondered how many actual pick strokes I execute on any given day.

What's the price point going to be, though?

Years ago when Bluetooth was newer, I remember thinking about exactly what a Bluetooth enabled pick would do. I never thought of this.

I thought of locating, and being somehow inoperable if played on the wrong owner's instrument.

People look way too much into picks.

Truthfully it looks to thick to allow comfortable playing and that skews any data it collects...... I'd rather have a Bluetooth tie or maybe toothbrush thanks . R/

We don't have Bluetooth in Canada, living as we do in igloos and such. We prefer the Canadian loonie or, better yet, the more attractive toonie.

I could use it to record my pick movements and play them back into my robot hand...

More useful would be to put a Tile on your Bluetooth pick so you don't lose it.... if they were just a little smaller.

What we need is a custom beveling service for Tile tags. "The tone is in the Tile...never lose your tone".
