Just received my "new to me" Gibson C-1. As you can see, it has been played A LOT...the painted on pick guard has been almost completely "picked off." But it plays and sounds great. A sweet survivor of the Great Depression.

This is the first one of these I've seen with "The Gibson" in script on the headstock (although quite faded it is readable in the right light). Every other one I've seen (in photo here on the Cafe) has "Gibson" silkscreened on.

Also have to love the "strap" and "custom hardware."

Congratulations on acquiring your C-1. Here are two photos of C-1's, one with The Gibson logo and another with the shape of your headstock.

Does your C-1 have a FON number stamped inside on the neck block?

I've looked but can't see one. I can say that it sounds really good...surprisingly so. Guess that's why it was played so much before it got to me.
