I'm looking for a good luthier in the Netherlands, sombody with real experience on american style archtop mando family instruments.
If you know somebody in Germany / Belgium it also could help.

    Thanks

I am told that The New Acoustic Gallery owned by Oliver Waitze in Wupertal Germany is a top notch outfit. I don't know how close they are to the Netherlands.

Thijs van der Harst in Breda:

    Willem Simon in Rotterdam:

Not a luthier, but very experienced in restoration/repairs is Tom van Berkel (in Amsterdam):

I can't find anything to confirm it, but my memory is vaguely telling me that Paul Brady's bouzouki was made by a Dutch builder (or at least one whose name sounded Dutch).

    Hi Roman,

Yesterday I spoke to Thijs van der Harst and played a few of his new built mandolins and was very impressed by the building quality. He knows certainly what he's talking about and I think you can always send him a message.

He's currently working on a new website, but a pic of his latest builds you'll find here:

Jan Pals (https://lazytater.wordpress.com/info/) builds mandolins and also has experience working on a Lloyd Loar F-5.
