Default Strings for an American Conservatory [Lyon and Healy] Tatterbug?

Just acquired a tatter bug from the local Thrift Shop.

American Conservatory: BRW bowl, 7 book matched ribs. Fairly plain appointments. Neck is tight. All original including worn but probably playable bar frets.

    I have a set of D'Addario J62 .010-.034 in my string drawer.
These too heavy for this old fella? Should I go with Silk and Steel?

Will probably end up as more decorative than played but would like to try it out.

I have an American Conservatory bowlback much like yours. I put extralight GHS strings on it (.009-.032).

I also use extra lights (by various manufacturers) on all my bowlbacks. Have not hit on any particular preference though.

My favorite strings in general for vintage bowlbacks are Dogal Calace RW92B Dolce. Otherwise, if you just want something that will sound nice those GHS A-240 strings are just fine.
