Thumbs up The waiting is the hardest part!

Had an issue with my Eastman, but Eastman and The Mandolin Store were quick to make good on their warranty, and I'm thrilled that my new mandolin is on its way to me as you read this. I've been tracking it across the US on FedX, and it's now in Jersey where it should soon be on its way right to me. The suspense is killing me.

I've watched it leave California to Arizona and travel through Kansas, across the Mississippi to Ohio through PA to Jersey, and I'm across the Hudson in New York, where waiting with baited breath!

With any luck I'll be picking tomorrow!! (I can only do so much on my four-string electric.)

I feel your pain. I found that frequently checking the tracking website doesn't help the package arrive any sooner.

OTOH, FedEx does deliver on Saturday to residences.

Waiting with "baited breath" (sic)?! What do you put in your mouth? Wigglers? Fish eggs? Must leave a nasty taste!

Bated breath. That is, you're holding your breath. Just teasing!

Seriously, I hope you get the mando of your dreams, Mikey, and derive great enjoyment from it.

    Good on you Santiago!

I used to have an Eastman md515 that was a hoss!...so much so that the guy I purchased my Gibson F5L from, took it in trade with $$...it was loud & woody, still kinda miss it!

Best Regards to you enjoying the music you'll make on your new instrument!

Andy Statman once played my old mando before it bit the dust (-- No, he didn't break it). Thought it was a really good instrument based on the price I paid for it. He let me try his Kimball at the time, which was really nice, but I was too scared to play much.

Both Eastman and the Mandolin Store are stand-up outfits based on my experience.

Now you have me singing the Tom Petty song "The Waiting," which I'm due to perform this weekend (but on bass guitar ... although there will be a mandolin portion of the show ...)

Hey, sorry for the ear worm! Fed-X says it was out for deliver at 6:30 a.m. I'm sitting at my front door with it open, checking out every car that passes as I wait for the truck. Of course, when it gets here, then you have to wait an hour or two for it to acclimate to the house before opening the box, so I'm waiting to wait, essentially.
