    Default Great Custom Pick Guard

Just thought I'd pass along this great experience. I needed a custom (abbreviated) pick guard for a mandola and looked around the internet and also checked with known suppliers to source it. The standard price estimate was about $200 with no turn around time promised (and I did not ask for one btw).

I remembered that Paul Fox of Fox Guitars mentioned on his site that he did custom work.

So I sent him a "shout" via his web page about making a custom pick guard (tortoise, triple bound) for my instrument. He got back with me within 24 hours.

I sent him a PDF of my drawing and within a day I had a quote of less than half of any other offer with a turn around of 4 business days. Wow!

I ordered it and I'm glad I did! It was in the mail to me two days after paying via Pay Pal and it is a really nice product.

    Highly recommended! (NFI)

Bernie, thank you for posting this.

I just ordered a full-size one for my new MKLFSTB (F5 Pacific-rim clone)

I had been fretting about the cost of them normally. Great price!
