Is anyone planning to attend Kaufmanns’s Acoustic Camp, June 19-26?

I came off the hip and dropped the $$$.

I have heard only positive things. After 18 months of learning (no prior musical experience) I gotta get better at playing with folks….

I spent a day and a half at Cabin Fever in Hampton, VA and had a great time talking with café folks. It was funny….walk around with a mando case and folks just start talking……

    Let the countdown begin……..

I went to my first Kaufman Kamp last year and loved it!
This year I'm bringing my 18 year old son who is going to the Flatpicking Kamp.

I'm there as a first-timer for mando kamp, with both mando and fiddle in hand (flying down from the Boston area). Looking forward to picking and learning. I play bluegrass, oldtime, Irish, and swing.

I'll be there again this year. Last year was my first time - had a great time! This year my girlfriend is going also - she'll be attending the flatpicking camp, while I'll be in the mandolin camp. She's excited (and nervous) about going. Hopefully I'll have my first mandolin finished (binding the top and bottom right now).

I highly recommend the camp. See ya there!

I'd like to, but it costs money and time away from my shop. My shop is right near, so I saw lots of folks attending the camp last year. It was fun.

See ya'll in June. I went to the flatpicking kamp last year for the first time and had a great time. Just picked up the mandolin about 4 months ago and will be attending Mando Kamp this year. What I'm really looking forward to is spending the week with my daughter Kate as we don't get enough time together. She just picked up guitar and is looking forward to a week with the "old man."

I have to work. Oh, and I don't play anything! We're nearby, so hopefully some folks will drop by to visit and do some pickin'! I love listening to folks play, it honestly makes my day! We had visitors last year, it was a real treat meeting them, getting to chat, listen to great music and we had such a good time.
