1/2 of Foghorn Stringband is in town tonight!

Not exactly mandolin related, but I'm excited to see Sammy Lind and Nadine Landry tonight. Unbeknownst to me until this afternoon, they've been in town doing workshops since Thursday :/

They'll be on stage tonight with locals Big Country Ramblers for Big Country North End Bluegrass Jamboree in Halifax.

Stoked!! Maybe they'll come back some day with Caleb and Reeb

It was a small set with about 30 or so people in attendance, many of whom were the house band or friends of.

I couldn't be happier. Totally starstruck!

I bet that was awesome. I love Sammy's fiddling and Nadine's singing. Did she happen to sing in French? Foghorn is one of my favorite contemporary acts.

Yeah, she sang in french. Great voice indeed. And they did Tippy Toeing!! Loved it!
