Default FrankenMando (you need to see this)

While at Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion this weekend, we spied this very interesting mandolin. Look closer...closer...there.

I tried to find out a little more about it, but the folks at the antique shop didn't know anything. Click image for larger version.

Years ago I had a thought. I envisioned a scroll and points that could be attached to an A style via arm rest style clamps. Probably would cost a heck of a lot less than the markup of going from an A style to an F, and since the experts say there is no sound difference, one could assuage scroll envy for a lot less!

Makes me think of those "Rolls-Royce" fronts that those of a certain age will remember for VW bugs. I love goofy DIY solutions as self-expression, so I got a big kick out of seeing this!

The least politically correct revelation of what an F-style is looking like in its undies...

Holy crap! I'm 56 years old and have never seen one of those. That's crazy, but clever.

They were common on the west coast. This one even has the fake Porsche rim style hubcaps.
