Default New mandolin store in Louisiana -- with Italian bowlbacks

No financial interest, but I am incredibly excited about this: a new instrument store, Southern Strings, has opened in southwest Louisiana that, AFAIK, has become the first USA store to carry high-end Italian bowlback mandolins. They also have some nice Webers, a few Pavas and an Apitius. And some nice guitars too!

As far as bowlback mandolins, there were (they've both sold already) two by Lorenzo Lippi. Salvatore Mancino of Anema e Corde is making a beautiful, more modern-looking design with sound ports, like a classical guitar. And Carlo Mazzaccara is sending four of his top-model "Lucia" mandolins in early October.

Great to see bowlback mandolins on their way back!

I don't see the answer to this on their site (and just to be sure, this could be dangerous to reactivating my MAS) but do they ship purchased instruments - do you know? If not, I will e-mail them on their site. Thanks!

    "Shipping

Rest assured that our instruments are always packed with the utmost care and are fully insured when shipping. You'll be emailed tracking info as soon as it ships out."

    DMIS.

We've got folks over nearby in Convent so are typically around over the holidays. Would love to stop in. The guitars look muy coolioso, too.

I don't know anyone from Louisiana playing bowlbacks, though. No, wait a minute......
