    Howdy Ge,

You can get a midi over at Dave's Bach Page and run it thru tabledit to get a tef file. Like this:
    AdagioGmSonata(ed1).tef

Might not be what you're looking for, but it's a start.

    Howdy Jet,

Converting a midi file to .tef file requires the full version($60?) of Tabledit. Tefview(free reader/player) won't do it. Assuming you have the full version: file>new>check mandolin box, then file>import>import midi. If it's a midi file with lots of instrument parts, you'll get the option of including all of them in their "natural" form(mandolin shows as mandolin tab, guitar as guitar tab, bass as bass, etc.) If you want the trumpet part to display as mandolin tab, uncheck everything except trumpet and import to your new mandolin file. A certain amount of trial and error is likely to be involved.
